French Drains

[ All About French Drains ]

What is a French drain? A French drain is simply a perforated pipe that is buried in a bed of gravel at the footing of your foundation which collects groundwater and surface water and moves it away from your foundation.

We believe that every French drain job should be performed with the utmost care and detail. All of our installations include a full damp proofing and water proofing of your foundation wall. After cleaning your foundation wall we start by applying a bitumen based peel and stick membrane to provide a water tight seal and finish up with a dimpled membrane over the top of that to ensure years of protection from water infiltration and dampness caused my water wicking through your foundation wall. We also only use rigid perforated PVC pipe as it does not crush or crack when being backfilled, we also install 2 chimneys or clean out to enable you to inspect your French drain system.

[ Pyrite Removal ]

Pyrite is a mineral found in backfill gravel, when this gravel comes in contact with humidity and moisture it oxidizes and causes the foundation or slab to heave and/or crack.
